I thought the Kindle by the swimming pool was going to see off the paperback. But 2022 has seen a huge shift away from the digital book format.
Even the techiest businesspeople who run their lives on a mobile phone diary are using printed planner calendars and diaries to organise themselves and staff.
Maybe it’s because we use our computers and mobile phones for so much other stuff that with one application open, it’s easier to look on the wall or in paper diary than launch the Calendar App.
Looking back only 2-3 years ago management meetings were full of iPads and other tablets. Now the Dragons Den style notebook rules the roost.
Whilst we love our social media, Sat Nav, mobile banking and WhatsApp groups and it’s not going away any time soon, but 2022 has definitely been the year when the common-sense approach said, ‘Step aside digital, the paper world is back in the room!!’â€
